My approach

Why this is different.

I have spent close to twenty years as a Doctor of Acupuncture, working with people on far more than their aches. Pain is rarely only physical, and the people who find me have usually learned that the hard way. Many arrive after the standard system has run out of answers, still carrying a chronic problem that may have been named (or they may still be seeking that diagnosis) but never resolved. I came to this work through my own long road with pain, so I do not meet anyone from across a divide. I meet them from inside the same experience.

Over those years I have built a comprehensive way of seeing the body, trained in both Western medicine and the Eastern traditions, and I have never been willing to look at one part in isolation. I study how the individual muscles work, how they balance one another, and how the whole living system moves and holds and compensates. Out of my own practice, my own experience, and years of seeking out the best minds I could learn from, I developed a method of my own. It works because it is built on what actually helps a person, not just a symptom.

There is a part of this work that is harder to put into words. The body carries more than tension. It holds the weight of a life, and some of what a person has been through settles into the tissue and the breath and the way they hold themselves. You do not have to talk about any of it here. You do not even have to name it. The work is external and fully clothed, and the body is allowed to set things down on its own terms, in its own time.

What I have come away with, after all the years and all the cases, is a deep respect for the body's own ability to heal, and a practical sense of how to activate that on purpose rather than by accident. Because here is the honest truth of it: I cannot heal anyone. That is not within my power, or anyone's. What I can do, and what I have given my life to, is help a person heal themselves.

That is what makes this different. I am not here to fix a shoulder. I am here to help restore a life.
